Inside Out is a zine about using body horror in ttrpgs.

The physical edition is 44 pages in black and white, with some solid interior illustrations and a strong and readable layout.

Contents-wise, because this is specifically a guide to inducing horror, the zine leads off with safety tools. Following that is Corners (an outline for a system-neutral dungeon,) Disrupture (a Mothership-esque adventure by way of The Stuff,) The Shy Lampworker (less of an NPC and more of a guided horror meditation,) An Exploration Of Flesh Tailors (a Clive Barker style short story,) Monstrous (a Dead By Daylight oneshot system,) Mr. Twisted's Incredible Flesh Park (an adventure and system about being transformed while attempting to escape a theme park,) and Jojo's Body Horror Effects Table (a variety of weird conditions unrelated to Jojo's Bizarre Adventure.)

The contributors to the zine are numerous and wildly talented (Trevor Henderson and Xalavier Nelson are both featured alongside tons of others), and the writing quality throughout is strong. The print quality is also good.

Overall, if you like body horror and you specifically like thinking about body horror in the context of ttrpg design, this is a solid pickup. A lot of the zine's contents do require a little work to get them to the table, so if you are just dipping your toes into indie ttrpg design this might not be the perfect starting point, but it's bristling with ideas and a fun read.
